Job Overview
A well-established family law firm is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join its team. This full-time position offers a hybrid work environment and the opportunity to work under the guidance of experienced family law attorneys. The firm specializes in litigation, Guardian ad Litem & Child Representative, and Parenting Coordination cases. Ideal candidates will be highly motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of managing a significant caseload while learning and growing in a supportive team environment.

Duties

  • Manage a caseload of family law matters, with an emphasis on litigation, Guardian ad Litem, Child Representative, and Parenting Coordination cases.
  • Take direction quickly and accurately while working independently.
  • Maintain high attention to detail in all aspects of case management.
  • Collaborate with experienced family law attorneys for guidance and mentorship.
  • Support the firm’s team culture through communication and participation in social events.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in family law strongly preferred.
  • Strong work ethic and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage a significant caseload while ensuring accuracy.
  • Motivated and able to work independently.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to learn quickly.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admission to the Illinois State Bar (or ability to obtain licensure).

Skills

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
