Associate Attorney - Insurance Defense Litigation

A law firm seeks an experienced Associate Attorney with a background in insurance defense litigation to join its team in Decatur, GA. This remote position offers an exciting opportunity for a skilled litigator to work on high-profile cases, with a focus on trucking and transportation, insurance defense, and condo association litigation.

Duties:

• Represent clients in court proceedings and administrative hearings.
• Prepare and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Advise clients on case strategy, keeping them informed of key developments.
• Negotiate settlements to resolve disputes in favor of client interests.
• Ensure compliance with legal standards and regulations throughout all case stages.
• Conduct initial case investigations to gather relevant evidence and information.
• Provide consistent reporting to clients, outlining significant case developments and next steps.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in insurance defense litigation.
• At least 2 years of experience in trucking and transportation litigation.
• 2+ years of experience handling litigation cases in Georgia.
• Ability to manage cases independently and work effectively in a remote setting.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active bar membership in the state of Georgia is required.
