Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Represent clients in intellectual property litigation, including trade secrets and other soft IP matters.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case preparation and strategy.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements.
  • Develop and implement litigation strategies and present persuasive arguments in court.
  • Manage case files, maintain client communication, and provide timely updates on case progress.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and other legal professionals to develop case strategies and solutions.
  • Participate in discovery, including document review and deposition preparation.
  • Stay current with legal trends and developments in intellectual property law.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Illinois, California, New York, or District of Columbia Bar, active and in good standing.
  • 1-4 years of experience in intellectual property litigation, including trade secrets and soft IP.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • Demonstrated track record of insightful legal research, analysis, and persuasive writing.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
  • Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science is advantageous.

Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Illinois, California, New York, or District of Columbia Bar, active and in good standing.

Skills:

  • Excellent legal research and analytical skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proven track record in drafting and negotiating legal documents.
