Job Overview:
A law firm seeks an experienced and dedicated associate attorney to join their growing team. Duties:

  • Represent clients in personal injury, medical malpractice, and nursing home abuse and neglect cases.
  • Conduct thorough case investigations, including gathering medical records, interviewing witnesses, and working with expert witnesses.
  • Prepare legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
  • Attend client meetings, depositions, and court hearings as necessary.
  • Manage a caseload of medical malpractice and personal injury claims, ensuring efficient case progression.
  • Negotiate settlements and work closely with clients to achieve favorable outcomes.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategies and tactics.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in personal injury, medical malpractice, or nursing home abuse and neglect law.
  • Proven track record in litigation and case management.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to manage complex cases.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Comfort with direct client interaction and case handling from start to finish.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the New Jersey State Bar (license to practice law in New Jersey).

Skills:

  • Strong legal research and writing skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and complex cases with professionalism and empathy.
  • Proficient in legal software (e.g., Westlaw) and case management tools.
