Family Law Attorney

Job Overview:

A growing family law and litigation group is seeking a Family Law Attorney for a full-time position based in San Francisco, CA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for representing clients in all aspects of family law cases, including drafting pleadings, conducting legal research, and making court appearances. The position offers an opportunity to join a dynamic legal team with a focus on providing high-quality legal services to individuals and families across California.

Location:

• San Francisco, CA

Duties:

• Meet with clients to discuss family law cases and provide legal guidance.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
• Administer depositions and propound/respond to discovery requests.
• Conduct legal research and prepare motions.
• Make court appearances and argue motions.
• Participate in trials and hearings on behalf of clients.
• Interview witnesses and develop case strategies.
• Draft agreements and negotiate settlements.
• Attend mediations and arbitrations.
• Handle various family law matters as assigned by partners.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience as a licensed attorney, with a focus on family law.
• Must be a licensed attorney in California.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and professionalism.
• Excellent client service skills with prompt response times.
• Desire to make court appearances, argue motions, and participate in hearings.
• Strong drafting and negotiating skills.
• Ability to communicate legal matters to non-attorneys clearly.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic legal thinking abilities.
• Ability to manage a caseload and meet deadlines independently.
• Courtroom experience preferred, but not a prerequisite.
• Knowledge of the California Code of Civil Procedure.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership in the California State Bar.
