Litigation Attorney

Job Overview:
A law firm is seeking a highly skilled Litigation Attorney to join its litigation group in Short Hills, NJ. This position is not on the partnership track, offering an excellent opportunity for an attorney with commercial litigation and product liability experience. Location:

Duties:

• Handle complex commercial litigation and product liability cases
• Appear in both state and federal courts
• Draft, review, and file legal documents
• Conduct legal research and prepare for hearings and trials
• Provide strategic legal advice to clients
• Collaborate with internal teams on litigation strategies and case management
• Manage caseload and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
• Maintain positive relationships with clients and colleagues
• Perform other legal duties as assigned

Requirements:

• 4-5 years of experience in commercial litigation and product liability
• Experience appearing in state and federal courts
• State court or federal clerkship experience preferred
• Strong analytical, writing, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent business judgment and organizational skills
• Ability to manage competing demands in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Persuasive communication and project management skills

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the New Jersey Bar
