Duties:

• Manage all aspects of family law cases, including financials, discovery, motions, depositions, mediations, and trials.
• Conduct client meetings, recommend strategies, and provide comprehensive legal counsel.
• Delegate work to paralegals and legal assistants and oversee their contributions to the case.
• Represent clients in pretrial hearings, motion hearings, and trials.
• Develop case strategies based on thorough research of procedural rules and case law.
• Assist clients in understanding complex issues like equitable distribution and parenting plans.
• Advise clients on cost-benefit analyses related to legal decisions.

Requirements:

• Licensed to practice law in Wisconsin and in good standing with the Bar.
• Experience in family law, particularly in handling divorce and custody cases.
• Ability to manage a caseload independently and confidently represent clients in court.
• Strong skills in reading financial statements and developing parenting plans.
• Excellent research, writing, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a team and delegate tasks effectively.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in the state of Wisconsin.
