Pre-Suit Personal Injury Attorney

A law firm seeks an experienced Pre-Suit Personal Injury Attorney for their Fort Myers, FL office. In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing personal injury cases before filing a lawsuit. You will be responsible for gathering essential documentation, negotiating settlements, and collaborating with your team to prepare demand letters. The ideal candidate is a highly organized and proactive attorney with a strong background in personal injury law and insurance negotiations.

Duties:

• Oversee and manage a full caseload of personal injury claims, focusing on pre-suit matters.
• Collaborate with insurance companies to manage and negotiate settlements.
• Communicate regularly with clients, keeping them informed and engaged throughout the process.
• Handle initial case intake and maintain ongoing communication with clients.
• Investigate cases thoroughly, gathering all relevant information, documents, and medical records.
• Input pertinent case information into the firm’s database and manage case progress.
• Verify insurance coverage and liability issues, and maintain contact with the insurer throughout the process.
• Oversee clients' medical care and ensure continuous communication with medical providers.
• Schedule and manage medical appointments, explaining related procedures and documentation to clients.
• Prepare and organize case files for demand letters, ensuring all details are included for settlement discussions.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience handling a heavy personal injury caseload.
• An active member in good standing of the Florida Bar.
• Proven ability to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks across multiple cases.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain legal concepts clearly.
• Excellent client interaction skills, demonstrating empathy and support during difficult times.
• Strong negotiation skills and determination to secure favorable outcomes for clients.
• Solid problem-solving abilities and high attention to detail.
• A consistent record of reliability, attendance, and professional integrity.
• Bilingual candidates are a plus!

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership in the Florida Bar.
