The ideal candidate will have foundational experience in transactional tax matters and be eager to grow within a dynamic legal environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with securities and finance lawyers on various transactional matters.
  • Assist in providing tax advice related to public finance and tax-exempt organizations.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on federal, state, and local tax issues.
  • Prepare and review tax-related documents for accuracy and compliance with laws.
  • Interact directly with clients, providing guidance on transactional tax matters.
  • Work with investment bankers, financial advisors, and government officials on tax-related issues.
  • Participate in client meetings and conference calls, addressing tax concerns.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 2-4 years of experience in transactional tax or related tax areas.
  • Bar Admission: Must be admitted to practice in the state of North Carolina or willing to become admitted.
  • Education: Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Transactional Tax Experience: Experience in tax matters related to public finance or tax-exempt organizations is beneficial.
