Job Overview: A prominent law firm located in Greenville, SC, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Personal Injury Trial Attorney. This position offers the opportunity to join a dynamic legal team and manage cases from intake through settlement or trial. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in personal injury or civil litigation and be passionate about advocating for client's rights while working in a collaborative and supportive environment.

Duties:

• Manage personal injury and civil litigation cases from intake through jury verdict or settlement
• Handle client communication, providing regular updates and strategic guidance
• Conduct legal research and draft motions, pleadings, and discovery documents
• Take and defend depositions, gather evidence, and prepare witnesses for trial
• Develop case strategies and lead mediations or negotiations
• Represent clients in court, including jury trials and other hearings
• Collaborate with legal staff and support personnel for case management
• Stay informed about changes to laws, regulations, and best practices in personal injury law

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in personal injury or civil litigation
• Proven track record of successfully serving as 1st chair in jury trials
• Licensed and in good standing with the South Carolina State Bar
• In-depth understanding of the Rules of Civil Procedure and Rules of Evidence
• Experience with drafting and responding to motions
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a large caseload

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
• Active membership in the South Carolina State Bar

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in South Carolina and good standing
