A law firm in Naples, FL, is seeking a dedicated Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will assist in providing legal counsel to clients, work closely with senior partners and associates, conduct legal research, draft documents, and maintain client files. The attorney will also prepare for and attend hearings and other legal proceedings, and work effectively alongside senior attorneys and paralegals to resolve cases.

Duties:

  • Assist in providing legal counsel to clients.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare for hearings and other legal proceedings.
  • Attend hearings and other legal proceedings.
  • Provide legal counsel with the help of senior associate attorneys.
  • Resolve cases efficiently by communicating effectively with and working alongside senior attorneys and paralegals.
  • Maintain client files in an organized fashion to ensure up-to-date information is handy for other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff.
  • Create legal documents, including correspondence, briefs, motions, pleadings, contracts, affidavits, and settlement agreements for contract negotiations and proceedings.
  • Review client issues on legal matters, analyze available options, and diligently work to determine the best course of action.

Requirements:

  • Successful completion of the Bar exam.
  • Member in good standing and actively involved with the ABA (American Bar Association).
  • Solid communication skills and problem-solving skills required to work with clients, staff members, and senior attorneys.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Bar admission in the state of Florida.

Skills:

  • Strong legal research and writing skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain organized client files.
  • Proficiency in drafting legal documents.
