Duties

• Handle client intake, including signing up new clients and assessing case details.
• Draft pleadings, respond to discovery demands, and manage discovery responses.
• Conduct and defend depositions, and prepare cases for the trial calendar.
• Manage expert witness disclosures, and participate in mediations and arbitrations.
• Collaborate with paralegals and team members to ensure efficient case progression.
• Contribute to trial preparation, including strategizing and organizing case materials.

Requirements

• Admission to the New York State Bar in good standing.
• Experience in personal injury law is preferred, but training is available for the right candidate.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills for managing case files and deadlines.
• Effective communication and client relationship-building abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• New York State Bar License.

Skills

• Proficiency in legal research platforms such as Westlaw.
• Advanced knowledge of litigation and trial preparation processes.
• Strong written and oral advocacy skills.
• Competence in managing multiple cases and prioritizing deadlines.
