Job Overview: A prominent law firm is seeking an ambitious and dedicated Entry-Level Immigration Attorney to join its team in San Antonio, TX. Location: San Antonio, TX

Duties:

  • Explain complex immigration concepts and provide strategic solutions to clients.
  • Represent non-detained and detained individuals in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA).
  • Manage a diverse caseload of immigration cases.
  • Conduct client intakes with detained individuals at detention centers.
  • Prepare immigration applications, including removal defense and family-based petitions.
  • Review immigration applications and make necessary adjustments.
  • Work with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community organizations on immigration law updates.
  • Conduct strategic consultations with potential clients to develop immigration case strategies.
  • Develop strategies and prepare clients and witnesses for court or USCIS testimony.
  • Provide legal analysis to clients regarding the potential benefits of their cases.
  • Draft and submit legal briefs for various immigration cases.

Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of immigration law experience preferred.
  • Strong team player who is eager to collaborate with colleagues and assist in case strategy development.
  • Preferably bilingual (English/Spanish).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with diverse client populations.
  • Proven track record of progressing legal cases and managing a caseload effectively.
  • Experience with family-based petitions, humanitarian cases, EOIR, detained cases, citizenship applications, and other USCIS matters.
  • Experience with case management software is a plus.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the state bar.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the state bar where practicing.

Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of immigration law and procedure.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze legal issues and provide clear, actionable advice.
  • Organizational skills to manage multiple cases effectively and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in case management software and legal research tools.
