A law firm in Boston is seeking a Corporate and Transactional Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of experience in law firm Corporate/Transactional practice. The ideal candidate will have experience working with closely held and family businesses, from start-up to exit phase, and be comfortable handling various aspects of corporate and transactional matters.

 

Job Duties:

  • Work with closely held and family businesses on governance, contract matters, and strategic partnerships.
  • Assist in recruitment and retention incentives for key executives and employees.
  • Handle private financings and mergers and acquisitions (M&A) transactions.
  • Collaborate with business owners and management directly.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis.
  • Draft and review contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
  • Provide counsel on commercial real estate acquisitions, leasing, and financing.
  • Handle liquor licensing and hospitality matters.
  • Grow a book of business through client development and networking efforts.

 

Requirements:

  • Massachusetts license and New England roots.
  • 3-5 years of experience in law firm Corporate/Transactional practice.
  • Strong communication, technology, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent client interface capabilities.
  • Skilled drafting with attention to detail.
  • Experience in commercial real estate acquisitions, leasing, and financing is helpful.
  • Experience in liquor licensing and hospitality matters is helpful.
  • Enthusiasm for growing a book of business.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Massachusetts Bar license.

 

Skills:

  • Strong communication, technology, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent client interface capabilities.
  • Skilled drafting with attention to detail.
  • Experience in corporate governance and contract matters.
  • Knowledge of private financings and M&A transactions.
