A law firm in Dallas, TX, is seeking an experienced Litigation Associate Attorney to join their Complex Litigation and Personal Injury Trial team. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of litigation experience, with a focus on defending personal injury and/or wrongful death lawsuits in Texas state courts. The candidate should possess strong writing and analytical skills and be eager to develop trial experience within a collaborative team environment. Key Responsibilities:

  • Defend clients in personal injury and wrongful death lawsuits in Texas state courts.
  • Handle litigation matters in one or more of the following practice areas:
    • Transportation/trucking litigation
    • Construction litigation
    • Premises liability
    • Products liability
    • Energy-related litigation
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on complex litigation issues.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
  • Engage in discovery, including depositions, interrogatories, and requests for production.
  • Represent clients in court hearings, trials, mediations, and settlement negotiations.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships, providing legal advice and guidance.
  • Work closely with senior attorneys and partners to develop and execute case strategies.
  • Participate in team collaboration to ensure high-quality legal representation.

Required Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in the state of Texas.
  • 3+ years of litigation experience in Texas state courts.
  • Experience defending personal injury and/or wrongful death lawsuits.
  • Experience in at least one of the following practice areas:
    • Transportation/trucking litigation
    • Construction litigation
    • Premises liability
    • Products liability
    • Energy litigation
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated trial preparation and trial experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Texas state court procedures and rules.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex cases in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong oral advocacy skills, including experience with motions and court hearings.

Skills:

  • Strong writing and analytical abilities, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Desire to develop trial skills in a collaborative and dynamic environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

Education & Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in Texas (required).
