Location: Pittsburgh, PA (Hybrid – On-Site & Remote on Fridays)

Job Overview

A law firm seeks a skilled and motivated Litigation Associate to join its growing insurance defense practice in Pittsburgh, PA. The ideal candidate will have 2–3 years of litigation experience, including trial exposure, and a strong ability to manage cases independently. This position offers the opportunity to handle a variety of civil litigation matters while collaborating with experienced attorneys in a dynamic legal environment.

Duties

• Represent clients in insurance defense cases, including personal injury, property damage, contract disputes, negligent security, and liquor liability.

• Conduct comprehensive legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.

• Develop and implement litigation strategies in collaboration with partners and fellow attorneys.

• Manage case files from inception through trial, ensuring adherence to deadlines and procedural requirements.

• Maintain strong client relationships and provide clear, effective communication.

• Stay current on relevant legal developments and industry trends.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2–3 years of litigation experience, with a focus on insurance defense.

• Strong trial preparation and courtroom experience preferred.

• Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.

• Ability to manage a caseload efficiently while maintaining high-quality legal work.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and external stakeholders.

• Highly organized with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced legal environment.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in the state of Pennsylvania and in good standing with the Pennsylvania State Bar.
