Employment Litigation Attorney Corporate and Executive Counsel

Job Overview:
A law firm seeks an experienced Employment Litigation Attorney to join its expanding team in San Francisco, California. In this role, you will be integral to assisting clients from diverse industries, including large corporations, startups, and high-level executives. This position offers opportunities for both litigation and counseling, providing a dynamic work environment where you will manage complex cases, collaborate with senior attorneys, and contribute to strategic legal advice.

Duties:

• Interview and meet with clients to understand their needs and provide legal guidance.
• Develop litigation strategies in collaboration with senior attorneys.
• Perform detailed legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and responses.
• Manage discovery processes and draft dispositive motions.
• Take and defend depositions, argue motions, and prepare witnesses and experts.
• Attend hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and jury trials.
• Advise employers on sensitive employee matters and draft employment agreements.
• Work with startups and small businesses to build HR infrastructure.
• Provide counsel to C-Suite executives on offer packages and departure strategies.

Requirements:

• Must be licensed to practice law in California.
• 2+ years of experience in employment litigation.
• Ability to analyze complex legal issues and develop strategic solutions.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Must be able to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Must be based in the San Francisco Bay Area or willing to travel as needed.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership in the California State Bar.
