Job Overview: A prominent personal injury law firm is seeking experienced Associate Attorneys to join their team. This role involves working closely with Lead Attorneys on all aspects of personal injury litigation, including legal research, motion drafting, depositions, and trial preparation. The ideal candidate will be committed to providing high-quality legal services while ensuring timely case management and client satisfaction.

Location:

  • Los Angeles, CA

Duties:

  • Propound and respond to discovery.
  • Perform legal research and draft motions, complaints, pleadings, and other litigation documents.
  • Prepare for, take, and defend depositions.
  • Attend State and Federal court hearings as required.
  • Assist Lead Attorneys with managing a heavy case load, ensuring all cases progress within deadlines.
  • Prepare for Second Chair Trials.
  • Represent clients in personal injury cases such as auto accidents, slip & fall, wrongful death, medical malpractice, premises liability, and insurance disputes.
  • Investigate and prepare claim demands for insurance companies across multiple states.
  • Negotiate and settle disputes with insurance companies.
  • Prepare and file civil lawsuits on behalf of clients.

Requirements:

  • Must be licensed and in good standing in California.
  • Ability to work under strict deadlines and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent legal research, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Bilingual in Spanish (preferred but not required).

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in the State of California (California Bar).

Skills:

  • Strong legal research abilities.
  • Proficiency in drafting legal documents including motions, complaints, and pleadings.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Bilingual in Spanish (preferred).
