Job Overview:
A prominent law firm is seeking a mid-level associate to join its Investment Funds group. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to work on complex and high-profile matters, including the formation of private equity, real estate, venture capital, and hedge funds, as well as secondary transactions and structuring carry vehicles. The firm is looking for candidates with strong academic backgrounds, transferable skills, and 3-5 years of relevant experience. The role allows for flexibility with a hybrid work arrangement, with multiple office locations available.

Location:

  • Boston, MA

Duties:

  • Advise clients on investments and the formation of private equity, real estate, venture capital, and hedge funds.
  • Handle secondary transactions and structuring of carry vehicles.
  • Assist in structuring separately managed accounts.
  • Draft and review legal documents related to investment funds.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys to design and execute legal strategies.
  • Participate in business development initiatives and client presentations.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in investment funds law.
  • Experience with private equity, real estate, venture capital, and hedge funds.
  • Knowledge of secondary transactions and structuring carry vehicles preferred.
  • Previous experience in an AmLaw 100 firm is a plus.
  • Strong client-facing experience and ability to manage client relationships.
  • Admitted to practice in the jurisdiction where the position is located.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active bar membership in the jurisdiction of employment.
