Job Overview
A law firm is seeking an experienced Foreclosure Attorney to handle foreclosure litigation and default litigation, primarily representing creditors. This role offers the opportunity to work in a boutique real estate law firm with a focus on creditors' rights, REO transactions, and commercial litigation across NJ, NY, and PA. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in foreclosure proceedings, excellent litigation skills, and be a proactive member of the legal team. The position offers flexible scheduling and the opportunity to work in a hybrid model.

Location

• Roseland, NJ

Duties

• Handle foreclosure litigation and default litigation cases, representing creditors
• Manage foreclosure processes in NJ and/or NY
• Advise clients on legal matters related to foreclosure and real estate law
• Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, and settlement negotiations
• Coordinate with other legal teams and departments on case progress
• Ensure all legal documentation and filings are completed accurately and timely
• Stay up to date with legal trends and changes in foreclosure and real estate law

Requirements

• 5-10 years of experience in foreclosure litigation, specifically representing creditors
• Strong understanding of the NJ and/or NY foreclosure process and default litigation
• Admission to the NJ and/or NY Bar
• Ability to commute to Roseland, NJ 2-3 days per week
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to handle a high caseload with attention to detail

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Active NJ and/or NY State Bar membership required
