Job Overview:
A reputable law firm located in Miami, FL, seeks a dedicated Associate Immigration Attorney. This role involves managing a diverse caseload, collaborating with a team of legal professionals, and providing strategic guidance to clients on immigration matters. Duties:

  • Explain complex immigration concepts and propose strategic solutions to clients.
  • Represent individuals in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals.
  • Manage a caseload of both detained and non-detained clients.
  • Conduct intake and consultations with detained individuals at detention facilities.
  • Prepare and review various immigration applications, including removal defenses and family-based petitions.
  • Coordinate with law enforcement and community organizations on immigration law updates.
  • Provide legal analysis and strategic advice tailored to client needs.
  • Prepare clients and witnesses for court appearances and USCIS testimonies.
  • Draft and submit legal briefs for immigration cases.

Requirements:

  • 1-4 years of experience in Immigration Law.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and work collaboratively within a team.
  • Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish) preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with Family-Based Petitions, Humanitarian, EOIR, Detained, Citizenship, and USCIS applications.
  • Proficiency in using case management software is an advantage.
  • Admission to the Florida Bar is mandatory.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the Florida Bar.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent legal research and writing skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and high-pressure situations with professionalism.
