Duties

• Manage pre-trial proceedings, including discovery, motion practice, court conferences, and depositions.
• Draft a variety of legal documents, including bills of particulars, discovery motions, appellate briefs, and other pleadings.
• Oversee the intake of contract requests and conduct client interviews related to contracts.
• Perform comprehensive legal research to support case strategies.
• Handle the management and resolution of disputes effectively.
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met.
• Keep partners informed of material developments in ongoing cases on time.
• Exercise sound business and legal judgment in all aspects of case management.
• Demonstrate leadership skills while contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Requirements

• A minimum of 1 year of litigation experience in a law firm setting.
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active member in good standing of the New York State Bar.
• Strong legal writing and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Proven ability to exercise sound judgment and take full ownership of cases.
• Ability to work well under pressure, adapt to changing priorities and meet deadlines.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications
