Duties:

• Manage a personal caseload with supervision and guidance from partners.
• Draft motions, pleadings, and discovery responses.
• Conduct comprehensive legal research and draft memoranda.
• Attend hearings and court conferences.
• Conduct and defend depositions.
• Participate in site inspections as required by cases.
• Collaborate with expert witnesses to develop case strategies.
• Attend mediation and settlement negotiations.
• Prepare for trial and assist in trial proceedings.

Requirements:

• 1–5 years of experience in professional liability defense, general liability, or related fields.
• Strong legal research and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Proactive approach to case management and problem-solving.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active New York Bar license required.

Skills:

• Proficiency in legal research tools such as Westlaw.
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills.
