Job Overview: A well-established law firm in Florida is seeking a highly skilled Senior Personal Injury Litigation Attorney with 5 to 10 years of litigation experience. The ideal candidate will have experience in both general defense and plaintiff litigation, with a focus on personal injury and property damage cases. This role offers the opportunity to gain trial experience, handle a significant caseload, and be involved in business development efforts.

Duties:

  • Manage a litigation caseload from initiation through trial or resolution
  • Conduct thorough legal research on relevant laws, regulations, and case facts
  • Represent clients in court hearings, trials, and negotiations
  • Draft and review legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and contracts
  • Handle discovery requests, responses, and motions, as well as depositions
  • Prepare for and attend trials, mediations, and client meetings
  • Develop case strategies and manage litigation dockets, ensuring deadlines are met
  • Collaborate with clients and legal teams to achieve favorable case outcomes
  • Participate in business development and client relationship-building efforts

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in personal injury litigation
  • Proven ability to manage complex litigation from inception through trial
  • Strong legal research, writing, and communication skills
  • Familiarity with state and federal court procedures, including discovery and depositions
  • Experience in trial preparation and participation
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Commitment to providing exceptional client service

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active membership in good standing with the Florida Bar (or another state bar with willingness to gain Florida admission)

Skills:

  • Superior written and verbal communication abilities
  • Strong interpersonal and client relationship management skills
  • Motivated, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and litigation software
  • Bilingual in Spanish (preferred, but not required)
