Job Overview:
A law firm based in Indianapolis is currently seeking a skilled Personal Injury Attorney to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of personal injury cases, including pre-litigation negotiations, legal document preparation, and oversight of legal staff. This role offers the opportunity to work independently while collaborating remotely with firm members from various locations. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing motor vehicle accident claims and handling cases from inception to resolution.

Duties:

• Lead personal injury cases from start to finish, ensuring thorough management and timely resolution.
• Negotiate and settle cases during the pre-litigation phase.
• Review relevant documents such as policies, claims, and records to assess case viability.
• Draft and argue legal documents, including motions and briefs.
• Manage a docket of cases, adhering to firm policies and deadlines.
• Oversee discovery processes, including medical record reviews and assessments.
• Supervise legal staff, including paralegals and case managers, providing guidance and support throughout the case lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with deadlines and Statutes of Limitations for effective case management.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience managing personal injury cases, specifically motor vehicle accident claims.
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an American Bar Association (ABA)-accredited law school.
• Valid law license in the state of Indiana (additional Illinois license preferred).
• Ability to travel occasionally (infrequent travel required).

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited institution.

Certifications:

• Indiana Bar License required.
• Additional licensure in Illinois is a plus.

• Expertise in personal injury law, particularly in motor vehicle accident claims.
