A law firm seeks a skilled and knowledgeable Healthcare Regulatory Associate to join its team in Washington, DC. This position offers the chance to work in a dynamic and growing practice, providing regulatory counsel within the healthcare and life sciences sectors. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in healthcare law, including regulatory compliance, fraud and abuse, HIPAA, corporate practice of medicine, licensing, and reimbursement. The role will also involve advising telehealth and digital health companies, as well as participating in corporate transactions.

Duties:

  • Provide regulatory and compliance counseling to healthcare and life sciences companies.
  • Advise clients on matters such as fraud and abuse, HIPAA compliance, corporate practice of medicine, and licensing issues.
  • Assist in the regulatory due diligence and structuring of corporate transactions, including in the private equity and M&A sectors.
  • Support telehealth and digital health companies with compliance and regulatory challenges.
  • Draft legal documents, such as memos, contracts, and regulatory filings.
  • Participate in government investigations and assist with the development of compliance programs.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver practical legal solutions.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in healthcare regulatory law.
  • Experience with healthcare transactions, including private equity, M&A, and investment.
  • Government experience (CMS, OCR, DOJ, FDA) is a plus.
  • Strong background in health regulatory law as it applies to healthcare and life sciences industries.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining high attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical, written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Education:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to practice in DC, IL, or NY.
