Litigation Of Counsel

Job Overview: A law firm is seeking a highly experienced Litigation Of Counsel to join their team in Austin, TX. The ideal candidate will have extensive litigation experience, particularly in product liability and complex commercial litigation, and will be crucial in managing cases and advising clients.

Duties:

• Communicate effectively with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties.
• Supervise and mentor associates and paralegals on case-related tasks.
• Collaborate with experts and consultants to strengthen case strategies.
• Assist development and preparation for depositions.
• Review, draft, and manage discovery responses, briefs, motions, and memoranda.
• Participate in developing case strategies and litigation plans.

Requirements:

• Minimum 8+ years of litigation experience, preferably from an AmLaw 100 firm.
• Specialized experience in product liability and complex commercial litigation.
• Preferred experience in the pharmaceutical and medical device industry.
• Strong analytical and writing skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Demonstrated business judgment and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in legal research and problem-solving.
• Conceptual thinking and ability to influence others persuasively.
• Management skills to supervise junior staff effectively.
• JD degree from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
• Additional degrees such as MD, MPH, PharmD, or Epidemiology are advantageous.
• Licensed to practice law in New York; admitted to practice in Texas.
