Duties:

  • Handle new and pending federal and state court litigation cases.
  • Conduct and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.
  • Manage a caseload under supervision, ensuring all deadlines and client expectations are met.
  • Negotiate settlements and attend mediations to resolve cases efficiently.
  • Prepare pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents for litigation.
  • Attend court hearings and trials, presenting cases effectively on behalf of clients.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Florida State Bar or eligibility for admission by reciprocity.
  • Minimum 3+ years of litigation experience, with a focus on federal and state court procedures.
  • Proven track record in handling all aspects of litigation, from inception to resolution.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including courtroom advocacy.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

 

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Florida State Bar.

 

Skills:

  • Proficiency in legal research, writing, and analysis.
  • Experience with eDiscovery tools and litigation support software preferred.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with clients, colleagues, and court personnel.
