A respected law firm in Greater Cleveland, Ohio is seeking an experienced Bankruptcy Attorney to join its team. The position involves managing Chapter 7 and 13 bankruptcy cases, representing clients in bankruptcy court, and working closely with senior attorneys and support staff. This role offers the opportunity to handle a varied caseload while developing a deeper expertise in bankruptcy law.

Location:

  • Cleveland, OH

Duties:

  • Manage and oversee Chapter 7 and 13 bankruptcy cases.
  • Prepare and file necessary legal documents for bankruptcy cases.
  • Represent clients in bankruptcy court proceedings and hearings.
  • Perform legal research and draft motions, pleadings, and other court documents.
  • Attend and participate in court hearings, including travel to outlying courts when necessary.
  • Collaborate with support staff to ensure accurate and timely case management.
  • Stay informed on the latest bankruptcy laws, procedures, and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in bankruptcy law.
  • Strong understanding of bankruptcy procedures and related legal matters.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating with a team.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Ohio Bar admission is required.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in legal research and drafting.
  • Strong knowledge of Chapter 7 and 13 bankruptcy laws and procedures.
  • Ability to manage a caseload efficiently and independently.
