Personal Injury Litigation Attorney

A law firm seeks an experienced and dedicated Personal Injury Litigation Attorney to join their team in Indianapolis, IN. This role will involve managing a variety of personal injury cases, offering support to clients through every stage of litigation, and handling matters ranging from initial consultation to trial. As a Litigation Attorney, you will be integral in delivering favorable outcomes for clients, working closely with a team of legal professionals, and honing your trial skills to bring cases to successful resolutions.

Duties:

• Meet with clients to discuss their cases, demonstrating compassion, empathy, and professionalism.
• Guide clients through the litigation process, providing regular updates and clear communication regarding their claims and insurance matters.
• Prepare cases for trial, including managing evidence, filing motions, and organizing witness testimony.
• Serve as the lead attorney (first-chair) in trials, advocating for clients in the courtroom.
• Negotiate settlements with opposing parties when appropriate, striving for favorable outcomes for clients.
• Manage a diverse caseload, ensuring timely and efficient resolution of cases.
• Collaborate with a team of paralegals and legal assistants to support case preparation and case management.
• Continuously develop professional skills through seminars, workshops, and trial experience.
• Work proactively in evaluating and analyzing legal strategies, ensuring the best approach for each case.

Requirements:

• Full-time availability.
• Active membership in the Indiana Bar and in good standing.
• 6+ years of litigation experience, with significant first-chair trial experience.
• Expertise in evaluating and managing personal injury claims.
• Proven negotiation skills with a track record of successful outcomes.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Independent work ethic and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Team-oriented, with the ability to collaborate effectively with support staff.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active Indiana Bar membership.
