The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience focusing on pre-litigation personal injury cases. This role involves managing a diverse caseload from inception to settlement, working closely with other attorneys, and providing exceptional client service. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of personal injury law, excellent research and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple cases effectively.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage all phases of personal injury cases from intake to settlement.
  • Conduct thorough investigations to establish liability and assess damages.
  • Draft and file legal documents necessary for pre-litigation.
  • Negotiate settlements with insurance companies and opposing counsel.
  • Provide exceptional client service by keeping clients informed about their case progress.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys to develop and execute effective case strategies.
  • Lead case management teams to ensure the efficient representation of clients.
  • Conduct legal research and analyze legal precedents, statutes, and regulations.
  • Prepare legal briefs and provide sound legal advice to clients.
  • Coordinate with paralegals, support staff, and other attorneys to manage cases effectively.
  • Maintain organized case files and adhere to deadlines.
  • Exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive information.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Lawyer in good standing to practice law in Illinois.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in personal injury law, with a focus on pre-litigation.
  • Excellent knowledge of state laws, regulations, and legal procedures related to personal injury cases.
  • Proven track record of successful case management and client representation.
  • Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and apply legal precedents and statutes.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including drafting and reviewing legal documents.
