Job Overview

A law firm seeks a compassionate and skilled Personal Injury Attorney who is fluent in Spanish to join its legal team. The ideal candidate will have direct experience handling personal injury matters, along with the ability to communicate seamlessly with Spanish-speaking clients. This position offers the flexibility of remote work, while still maintaining strong collaboration with the firm’s legal team.

Duties

  • Represent clients in personal injury claims, including cases involving motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, and medical negligence
  • Maintain regular communication with Spanish-speaking clients to ensure clarity at every stage of their case
  • Prepare and review legal documents such as pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and correspondence
  • Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategies and settlement negotiations
  • Negotiate settlements and, when necessary, advocate for clients in court hearings
  • Maintain detailed and organized case files, tracking important deadlines and case developments
  • Offer compassionate legal counsel while upholding professionalism and legal ethics

Requirements

  • 1+ year of legal experience, preferably in personal injury litigation
  • Strong understanding of North Carolina personal injury law and litigation procedures
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines independently
  • Excellent client service skills, with a focus on empathy and clear communication
  • Experience working remotely and effectively collaborating with a distributed team

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Active license to practice law in the state of North Carolina (required)
