Commercial Litigation Attorney

Job Overview:
A law firm is seeking an experienced Commercial Litigation Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in preparing pleadings, conducting discovery, handling complex legal research, and presenting oral arguments. The role involves regular consultations and updates with supervising attorneys, as well as active involvement in trials, mediations, and arbitrations.

Location:

Duties:

• Prepare pleadings and manage written discovery processes.
• Research and draft briefs on complex legal issues.
• Present oral arguments in various legal settings.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Participate in trials, mediations, and arbitrations.
• Consult and provide updates to supervising attorneys based on experience.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of litigation or related experience.
• Licensed to practice law in New York State.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
• Commitment to providing high-quality client service.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in New York State.
