Employment Litigation Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm in New York City is seeking a skilled Employment Litigation Associate Attorney to join its dynamic team. The attorney will defend and prosecute various employment-related disputes, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and contract cases.

Duties:

• Defend and litigate lawsuits involving a diverse range of employment-related claims and agency charges of discrimination.
• Represent employers in court, administrative agencies, mediations, and arbitrations in employment matters, including class/collective actions.
• Handle cases involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, contract disputes, employment torts, and non-compete agreements.
• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and other legal documents.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and trial preparation.
• Provide strategic advice and counsel to clients on employment law matters.

Requirements:

• JD from an accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.
• 3+ years of litigation experience, preferably focused on employment law.
• Admission to the New York State Bar or ability to obtain admission promptly.
• Familiarity with current agency procedures at both state and federal levels.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and project management abilities.
• Dedicated to professionalism, collegiality, and working effectively both independently and as part of a team.
