Job Overview:
A distinguished law firm in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, seeks a dedicated Labor and Employment Associate Attorney. This role involves direct collaboration with corporate clients, providing strategic counsel on employment law matters. The position also includes litigation, arbitration, and the development of policies and contracts essential for employers.

Duties:

  • Advise corporate clients on labor and employment legal matters
  • Represent clients in litigation and arbitration involving employment-related claims such as discrimination, harassment, non-competes, shareholder rights, breach of contract, whistleblower cases, union grievances, and administrative claims
  • Draft and review employment contracts, policies, handbooks, and other employer-related documents
  • Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda, pleadings, and other legal documents
  • Work closely with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and manage workloads efficiently
  • Represent clients in administrative hearings and settlement negotiations

Requirements:

  • 1-5 years of labor and employment law experience preferred (general litigation experience will be considered)
  • Strong academic background with excellent legal research and writing skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills and professional demeanor
  • Sound judgment and the ability to manage diverse caseloads effectively

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active Florida Bar license (Required)
