Job Title: Personal Injury Litigation Attorney

Job Overview
A well-established law firm based in Indianapolis, IN, seeks an experienced Personal Injury Litigation Attorney to join its team. This role involves managing litigation for motor vehicle accident cases, with occasional handling of additional personal injury matters such as premises liability and dog bite cases. This attorney will guide clients through the litigation process, draft necessary legal documents, and participate actively in depositions, mediations, and court proceedings.

Duties

  • Manage a caseload of motor vehicle accident cases through all litigation stages
  • Prepare and draft litigation documents, including pleadings, discovery requests, responses, demands, motions, and memoranda
  • Provide guidance and support to clients throughout the legal process
  • Coordinate with expert witnesses, including drafting expert reports and affidavits
  • Prepare for and attend depositions, mediations, hearings, and court appearances
  • Participate in training programs and seminars as needed

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience in litigation
  • 5 years of experience as a licensed attorney
  • 2 years of experience in personal injury law
  • Indiana Bar License (Required)
  • An active member in good standing with the State Bar Association
  • Proven ability to handle a high caseload (average of 50+ litigation cases)
  • Strong client service and communication skills
  • Self-motivated with clear long-term career goals
  • Superior legal writing and oral advocacy skills

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Active Indiana State Bar License

Skills

  • Proficiency in legal research, drafting, and filing litigation documents
  • Ability to effectively communicate with clients and stakeholders
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and trial preparation skills
