A law firm is seeking an experienced Estate Planning Attorney to join its team in Eugene, Oregon. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in estate planning and administration, including the autonomous management of client matters. Duties:

  • Provide ethical, practical, creative, and responsive client service throughout all stages of estate planning and administration.
  • Counsel clients on strategies to distribute their assets according to their wishes.
  • Draft wills, trusts, and related estate planning documents.
  • File and manage probate and trust administration proceedings.
  • Support other practice groups, including transactional work and probate/trust litigation as needed.
  • Serve as an engaged member of the firm and community.
  • Collaborate with the firm’s professional staff to maximize client value.
  • Keep clients informed and supported through all stages of representation.
  • Operate with accountability, integrity, and humility.
  • Demonstrate ongoing commitment to professional development and self-care.

Requirements:

  • Current member in good standing of the Oregon State Bar.
  • Minimum of 5 years of estate planning and administration experience.
  • Proven ability to autonomously manage client matters.
  • Excellent legal research, writing, oral communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong desire to contribute to a positive work environment.
  • Prepared to manage a full client load with mentorship and support as appropriate.
  • Willingness to live near one of the firm’s office locations and integrate into the local professional community.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the Oregon State Bar.
