Renewables Attorney

A law firm in Jacksonville, FL, is seeking a seasoned Renewables Attorney to join their team. This attorney will offer specialized legal counsel on various renewable energy projects, focusing particularly on facilities operations and power purchase agreements. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with wind, solar, hydroelectric, and fuel cell facilities, as well as a strong understanding of smart grid technology, energy storage, and energy efficiency. Essential qualities include a commitment to client service, strong interpersonal skills, and effective communication. The role requires a JD degree, active Bar membership, and a portable book of business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide legal advice and support for renewable energy projects, including wind, solar, hydroelectric, and fuel cell facilities.
• Manage the negotiation, drafting, and execution of power purchase agreements and other critical contracts.
• Offer guidance on facilities operations, regulatory compliance, and industry best practices.
• Advise on issues related to smart grid technology, energy storage solutions, and energy efficiency.
• Conduct legal research and analysis on current and emerging trends in the renewable energy sector.
• Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to resolve legal issues and support project success.
• Address and manage legal disputes and challenges associated with renewable energy projects.
• Develop and maintain a portable book of business, demonstrating a strong client base in the renewable energy field.

Requirements:

• JD degree from an accredited law school.
• Active member in good standing of the Bar.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in renewable energy law.
• Proven track record of a portable book of business.
• Comprehensive knowledge of wind, solar, hydroelectric, and fuel cell technologies.
• Familiarity with smart grid technology, energy storage systems, and energy efficiency.
