Senior Intellectual Property Trademark Associate Attorney

A law firm in Parsippany, NJ, is seeking a Senior Intellectual Property Trademark Associate Attorney with over 6 years of experience in trademark law. The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in all facets of domestic and global trademark prosecution, strategy, enforcement, and management. They should excel in trademark counseling, clearance searches and analysis, prosecution and maintenance of trademarks, portfolio management, handling trademark disputes, internet and e-commerce issues, and online investigations and enforcement matters. Additionally, candidates should have experience in structuring, drafting, and negotiating agreements and contractual provisions related to intellectual property and trademarks. Experience managing IP due diligence, litigation discovery, and trademark disputes before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB) is highly advantageous. The role requires excellent technical, professional, client service, written and verbal communication, and advocacy skills, along with active Bar admission in good standing in the jurisdiction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage trademark prosecution efforts, advising clients on trademark matters, conducting clearance searches, and analyzing search results.
• Develop and implement comprehensive trademark strategies to safeguard and enforce clients' rights globally.
• Draft, review, and negotiate agreements concerning intellectual property and trademarks, including licensing agreements and IP assignments.
• Handle trademark disputes, including proceedings before the TTAB and other dispute resolution forums.
• Conduct IP due diligence and coordinate litigation discovery pertaining to trademark disputes.
• Provide legal counsel on internet and e-commerce issues affecting trademark rights and enforcement.
• Maintain strong client relationships, delivering exceptional client service and strategic legal advice.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the State Bar in good standing in New Jersey.
• 6+ years of experience in trademark law, with a strong emphasis on prosecution and enforcement.
• Expertise in trademark counseling, clearance searches, and prosecution of trademarks.
• Proven track record in managing complex trademark disputes and litigation.
• Familiarity with IP due diligence, litigation discovery, and TTAB proceedings preferred.
• Excellent technical, professional, and client service skills.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with strong advocacy capabilities.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:
