Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) / Off-Take Agreement Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm in Los Angeles, CA, seeks a qualified attorney with expertise in Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) and Off-Take Agreement negotiations. Duties:

• Draft, review, and negotiate Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and Off-Take Agreements on behalf of clients.
• Provide legal advice and guidance regarding renewable energy projects, ensuring alignment with client objectives.
• Conduct legal research and stay updated on regulatory developments impacting energy transactions.
• Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and other legal professionals to resolve legal issues and optimize transaction outcomes.
• Manage and mitigate legal risks associated with energy projects and agreements.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the State Bar of California or eligibility for reciprocity.
• Experience practicing law focusing on energy law, specifically PPA and Off-Take Agreements.
• Proven track record of negotiating and closing energy transactions.
• Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks governing energy projects, particularly in California.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience with renewable energy projects or environmental law.
• Experience working in a reputable law firm or corporate legal department.

Skills:
