The ideal candidate should have a strong background in handling depositions, motions, and experts while possessing knowledge of both Federal and State Rules of civil procedure. Experience in areas such as trucking & transportation, medical malpractice, professional liability, premises liability, and commercial litigation is beneficial. Candidates must be admitted to practice law in South Carolina.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in insurance defense litigation matters.
  • Handle depositions, motions, and expert witnesses.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis.
  • Draft, review, and file legal documents and pleadings.
  • Collaborate with legal teams to develop case strategies.
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and courts.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Provide legal counsel and advocacy in various areas of litigation.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of insurance defense litigation experience.
  • Knowledge of Federal and State Rules of civil procedure.
  • Helpful experience in trucking & transportation, medical malpractice, professional liability, premises liability, or commercial litigation.
  • Admission to practice law in South Carolina.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
