Job Title: Litigation Associate Attorney

Job Overview:
A well-established law firm in Irvine, CA, is looking for a highly motivated and skilled attorney to join their civil litigation team. The ideal candidate will possess solid experience in legal research and drafting various litigation-related documents. This position offers the opportunity to work on a broad range of cases, focusing on both state and federal courts. The firm offers excellent mentorship and training for new admittees.

Duties:

  • Conduct in-depth legal research to support litigation cases.
  • Draft and prepare litigation-related documents, including legal briefs, motions, discovery responses, trial documents, and eDiscovery.
  • Represent clients in state and federal courts, providing legal guidance and strategy.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and staff on case strategy and development.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of contracts and other legal documents.
  • Participate in settlement negotiations and other legal proceedings as needed.

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of civil litigation experience.
  • Strong legal research and writing skills.
  • Experience drafting litigation-related documents (motions, discovery, trial briefs, etc.).
  • Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines and manage a variety of cases simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Mandarin language skills are a plus.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Must be admitted to practice law in California.

Skills:

  • Legal research and writing.
  • Litigation case management.
  • Document drafting (motions, discovery, trial documents).
  • eDiscovery and trial preparation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluent in Mandarin (preferred but not required).
