Job Overview:

A leading law firm in Costa Mesa, CA is seeking an experienced Workers' Compensation Attorney to join its applicant-side injury practice. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in workers' compensation law and be skilled in managing a high volume of cases. This role includes overseeing cases through to settlement, working closely with case managers and legal assistants, and ensuring strong communication with clients.

Location:

  • Costa Mesa, CA

Duties:

  • Manage and handle a high volume of workers' compensation cases.
  • Represent clients in front of the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board (WCAB).
  • Oversee and direct case managers and legal assistants in support of case progression.
  • Negotiate and settle cases to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and other relevant parties throughout the legal process.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in California workers' compensation law.
  • Applicant-side experience before the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple cases and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active California Bar license (Required).

Skills:

  • Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities efficiently.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to settle cases for optimal value.
  • Proficient in case management and working collaboratively with legal support staff.
