The ideal candidate must be an approved title insurance agent in good standing with a national title insurance company, demonstrating enthusiasm for client service and initiative, along with a solid academic background.

Duties:

  • Conduct comprehensive title examinations and research to assess property ownership and status.
  • Draft and review title opinions, title commitments, and other title insurance documents with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Provide legal counsel and guidance on complex real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, and financing.
  • Collaborate closely with clients, lenders, and stakeholders to resolve title issues and ensure clear title conveyance.
  • Represent clients in real estate closings, ensuring all legal requirements are met and transactions proceed smoothly.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the New York State Bar (active and in good standing).
  • 7-10 years of progressive experience in commercial real estate law, specializing in title examination and title insurance matters.
  • Proven ability to independently manage and lead real estate transactions from inception to completion.

Certifications:

  • Approved title insurance agent with a national title insurance company (must be in good standing).

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for effective client interaction and legal document drafting.
