Job Overview: A law firm in Las Vegas, Nevada, seeks a dedicated workers' compensation attorney to join its team. The ideal candidate will manage and prosecute workers' compensation cases, ensuring thorough case management and client representation throughout the legal process.

Duties:

  • Clearing the case management software (CMS) feed daily.
  • Completing all assigned tasks by relevant deadlines.
  • Documenting all assigned cases properly in CMS.
  • Managing and monitoring case progress.
  • Establishing, reviewing, and updating case plans as needed.
  • Conducting Initial 72-hour Contacts with new clients.
  • Facilitating meetings with Claim Specialists and Litigation Specialists.
  • Managing communication with insurance adjusters, medical providers, and other parties.
  • Directing litigation efforts and attending hearings.
  • Drafting non-routine correspondence and legal documents.
  • Participating in administrative and leadership meetings.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited institution.
  • Licensed to practice law in Nevada and good standing with the Nevada State Bar.
  • 2 years of experience in workers' compensation litigation.
  • Strong understanding of legal principles, research techniques, and terminology.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Familiarity with case management software and online platforms.
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, and able to manage conflicting priorities.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability in case analysis and settlement negotiations.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited institution specializing in law or related field.
  • Licensed to practice law in the State of Nevada.
