Duties

• Advise financial institutions, investment funds, and lenders in a wide array of secured lending transactions

• Draft, review, and negotiate loan documents and ancillary agreements for asset-based and commercial finance deals

• Structure transactions and conduct due diligence reviews related to borrower operations and collateral

• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of financing arrangements

• Address transactional hurdles with tailored legal solutions

• Maintain communication with clients to provide legal updates and risk assessments throughout the transaction lifecycle

• Manage multiple concurrent matters in a high-volume, deadline-sensitive practice area

Requirements

• 2-6 years of experience handling commercial lending or asset-based finance matters

• Proficient in drafting and negotiating complex loan documentation

• Well-versed in finance deal structures, secured transactions, and UCC principles

• Licensed to practice law in Missouri and Illinois

• Demonstrated ability to manage transactional workflow efficiently

• Strong organizational and decision-making capabilities under pressure

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Active Bar membership in Missouri and Illinois
