Location:

Duties:

  • Manage a docket of workers' compensation cases, working towards timely resolution.
  • Conduct depositions and handle discovery matters.
  • Negotiate settlements and move cases forward towards resolution.
  • Provide direction and guidance to non-attorney staff, including paralegals.
  • Bring positivity and leadership to the workplace, setting an example for team members.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and support staff to develop case strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with legal procedures and maintain case files.

Requirements:

  • Newly barred attorneys are encouraged to apply.
  • At least one year of experience in workers' compensation law preferred but not required.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and high-volume environment.
  • Experience conducting depositions (preferred).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be in good standing with the California State Bar.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:
