Job Overview:
A prestigious law firm, located in Milwaukee, WI, is seeking an experienced associate to join their Finance Practice Group and Energy Sector. This position focuses on project finance within the renewable energy space, including tax credit transactions. The ideal candidate will have experience in renewable energy finance, including drafting and negotiating complex transaction documents, and will be responsible for managing due diligence and closing transactions.

Duties:

  • Draft and negotiate complex transaction documents, including credit agreements and tax equity documents.
  • Review project documents and manage subject-matter specialist reviews.
  • Assist in closing renewable energy projects and tax credit transactions.
  • Manage due diligence efforts for various renewable energy projects.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and accurate completion of project milestones.
  • Support long-term strategic goals within the Energy Sector.
  • Work in a dynamic and challenging environment, interacting with clients and teams on complex issues.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in renewable energy project finance or tax credit transactions.
  • Strong experience in drafting, negotiating, and reviewing transaction documents related to renewable energy projects.
  • Proven ability to manage due diligence and closing processes.
  • Excellent communication, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, client-driven environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle complex and challenging projects.

Education:

  • JD from an ABA-approved law school.
  • Must be in good standing and an active member of the Wisconsin Bar.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the Wisconsin Bar is required.
