Litigation Attorney

Job Overview:
A growing, mid-sized regional law firm located in downtown Seattle is seeking attorney with 2-7 years of civil litigation experience to join its team. Location:

• Seattle, WA

Duties:

• Represent clients in civil litigation matters, including case preparation, discovery, depositions, and motion practice
• Manage a caseload of civil litigation cases in state and federal courts
• Draft and file pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
• Advise clients on legal strategies and case developments
• Work closely with other attorneys and staff to ensure efficient case management
• Participate in settlement negotiations and mediations
• Attend court hearings, trials, and client meetings
• Maintain a high level of communication with clients, opposing counsel, and the court

Requirements:

• 2-7 years of experience in civil litigation
• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively
• Strong understanding of civil litigation procedures
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the Washington State Bar (or eligibility for admission)
• Admission to the Oregon State Bar is a plus

Skills:

• Proficient in legal research and writing
• Strong courtroom and deposition experience
• Experience in drafting legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and discovery requests
• Ability to think strategically and provide practical legal solutions
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal research tools
