A law firm seeks a dedicated Associate Attorney to join its team in Temple, TX. The ideal candidate will be a licensed attorney with strong communication skills and a friendly demeanor, capable of both taking direction and working independently. This role primarily involves reviewing and preparing legal documents, ensuring the successful progression of cases.

Duties

  • Provide legal support to clients and assist the managing attorney in various matters.
  • Maintain and nurture client relationships through effective communication.
  • Review and prepare pleadings, motions, orders, and other legal documents.
  • Assist in the preparation of discovery requests and responses.
  • Participate in minor hearings once deemed ready by the managing attorney.
  • Ensure all cases are managed effectively and progressed to completion.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and active Texas Bar license.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with family law, bankruptcy, probate, and some criminal and civil cases is preferred.
  • Basic understanding of civil procedure and evidence rules is advantageous.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active membership in the Texas Bar.

Skills

  • Proficiency in legal research and writing.
  • Familiarity with technology platforms, including Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Teams, Clio, and Acrobat, is helpful but not mandatory.
